River Lives

A rainbow passed me by,
Making the river alive.
A cloud began to cry,
Making the sound alive.
Then it started to give a reflection's conceptions,
The river leapt to life, mmm, started to live.
I reached down for that rainbow,
River gives a smile.
I couldn’t touch that rainbow,
I couldn’t reach that mile.
One just can’t deceive a reflection's deceptions,
The banks began to give, mmm, started to live.
Roll on, roll on, river.
Why surprised, oh river?
Keep on rolling, river.
Will you ever stop? Never!
‘Twas born a brand new song,
The river started to sing.
I saw how things must be,
Only the river could ring.
It’s sure clear to me; so revealing, so appealing,
The floor began to give, mmm, started to live.
Roll on, roll on, river.
