You walked right by when you were really needed
Did you think that nobody would see you
You don't tell lies unless you really believe them
But that still doesn't make them true
And if you don't know by now
I'm sure you'll pick it up somehow
You keep your hopes up
cos you like to feel let down
Does it make it easier when no one's around
You lock yourself away
and complain that you are lonely
