Counting the Stars at Night

The stars above, they shine so bright,
In the quiet autumn night.
Memories, dreams, and love I see,
In every star that speaks to me.
A name, a face, from long ago,
Far beyond, where winds now blow.
Mother dear, you're far away,
But in my heart, you’ll always stay.
I write my name upon the ground,
Beneath the stars, without a sound.
Morning comes, the night will fade,
But here I'll wait, where dreams are made.
When spring returns, and grass will grow,
Upon the hill, my name will glow.
A silent promise in the sky,
