Moon in My Cup

Steam rising, slow and light  
From a cup that caught the night  
Window glow, a silver spill  
The world outside is soft and still  
My feet don’t move, they sway instead  
A rhythm dancing in my head  
I’m not sure what I’m thinking of  
But it hums like quiet love  
There’s a moon in my cup  
And I’m sippin’ it slow

Streetlamp shadows bend like flowers  
I let go of yesterday
