Oops… that wasn’t my best.  
I think I made a tiny mess.
I dropped the blocks, they hit your toe—  
I didn’t mean it, that I know.  
You said “ouch,” I felt so bad—  
I said “I’m sorry,” then we both laughed!
Oops, I’m sorry, I didn’t see—  
It hurt your toe, or bumped your knee.  
Oops, I’m sorry, I didn’t try—

I talked too loud, you had the floor—  
I didn’t wait, I should’ve more.  
You looked sad, and I could tell—  
So I said “sorry,” and listened well.

I made a joke, it felt too mean—  
Your smile dropped, your face went green.  
My heart said “wait!” and “go be kind!”  
So I turned back, and changed my mind.
