Drifting Apart

Though feeling so unsure, I look away,
pretending not to see  care at all.
This heart of mine, broken inside,
is driving us farther apart each day.
Since the time we couldn’t turn back,
the scars within my heart grew deeper.
Now they’re far too large to heal,
and forever they remain the same.
