Beauty for My Ashes

He came to the place of sorrow and pain
A flame of hope rose from the ashes again
He poured His oil on my broken soul
And joy began to make me whole
He crowned my head with beauty and praise
Turned all my tears to songs of grace
He lifts me up with hands so kind
Now I’m a tree of glory divine
Light in the dark, You shine so true
Songs arise where hope was few
Deep in my soul, love finds its way
Your mercy fills me every day
