But slipped a thought inside it all
A folded note I’ll never check
Like secrets pressed into your neck
I left a thought in your old coat
Between the lining and the note
Of things I’d say if days reversed
Of how you healed before I hurt
That jacket held what I could mean
A shadow stitched in fabric seam
Not every word needs open sky
Some stay where cotton memories lie
