Grey waves curl beneath silent skies,
Cold breeze hums through distant cries,
Foam kisses shore in a muted line,
Time moves slow, rhythm undefined.
Seagulls fade in the heavy air,
Driftwood tells stories, stripped bare,
In quiet tides my thoughts unwind,
Salt and wind cleanse my mind.
Grey tide whisper, steady and low,
Chilled horizon where cold winds blow,
Ocean hush wraps me tight,
Drifting further, out of sight.
Clouds press down in silver streaks,
Faint brass tones through weathered peaks,
Footprints vanish, nothing to claim,
Just water’s rhythm, always the same.
