Wishlist

I'd like to have a conversation with the man in red
But when he's coming down the chimney I'll be snuggled up in bed  
I've been really really nice this year, if I say so myself
But I'll be sleeping when you visit here so I put this note high on the shelf

Oh i wonder what my gift is
You've come such a distance
i know your workshop is a million miles away
I can't stay up too late tonight because it's Christmas Eve
But i had just one more thing to do before i drift off to sleep
I stuck this note above the fireplace, and hoped that all goes well,
and then I'm waiting for the morning for our present show and tell
