Longing fills me for my childhood home,
Where fallen persimmon flowers gently lie,
The warmth of our little playhouse soothed our hunger,
Sweet and bitter mingled in petals nearby.
Leaving giggling in m y mother’s embrace,
Golden blooms, soft as velvet, shyly fell,
Their dimples whispered secrets to the earth,
Bathed in the warmth of new hope and sunlight's spell.
With a bracelet and a necklace made of persimmon flowers,
A shining crown rest upon my brow,
In the realm of happy memory,
I'm wearing a persimmon flower crown.
