사랑한다 말하고 돌아서지요
그 고백의 무겐 아랑곳 하지 않고
맘에도 없는 말을 던지기 전에
요한사도 주신 편지 읽어봅시다

자녀들아 우리가 말과 혀로만 사랑하지 말고
행함과 진실함으로 사랑하자 (x2)

사랑하는 마음은 살아 있어서
그 뜨거움으로 우릴 움직이게 해
나 밖에 모르는 못된 마음도
그 진실한 힘에 모두 사라져가네

We speak thoughtless words of love and then turn away
Careless as to what we've said, ignoring its intent
But before we speak another word that's not in our hearts
Let us read the words of John that's written long ago

Dearly beloved, let us not love only with empty, meaningless words
But with truth that leads us to act, with unchanging love (x2)

A loving heart is filled with life, with ever-burning love
Choosing to love with actions and in truth
Seeking to fill a heart, that only knows itself
Now loses its grip to the power of this love
