In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth,

Darkness covered the deep,
어둠이 깊이를 덮었네,
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
하나님의 영이 물 위에 운행하시네.
Let there be light, 빛이 있으라,

God saw that the light was good,
하나님이 보시기에 좋았더라,
Day and night, 낮과 밤,
He separated the light from the darkness.
빛과 어둠을 나누셨네.
God made the sky, 하나님이 하늘을 만드셨네,
And gathered the waters below,
물들을 아래로 모으셨네,
Let dry ground appear, 땅이 드러나게 하셨네,
And it was so, 그렇게 되었네.
Stars in the sky, 하늘의 별들,
Sun and moon to rule the day and night,
낮과 밤을 다스리는 해와 달,
God saw that it was good,
